Roaster commentary: This high altitude coffee performed best as a medium roast. In the cup, expect tangy and sweet with lots of sugary grape and floral flavors. As a pour over, this coffee sips more like a red wine than any coffee we’ve ever tasted. No let downs either in a traditional coffee pot or as an espresso (with or without milk). This coffee is not just fair trade organic, but also from a cooperative that is focused on both environmental and social sustainability. They use pulps from washing as fertilizer versus simply being discarded and they also assist financially to build schools, health-care clinics and infrastructure within their local community.
